Redken Artistic Directors Bring The Education to ABS 2010!

Chicago, 2010, What a city and what a show! Word has it that it was the most successful show in ABS history!

We came to ROCK IT!

Three days of non-stop sales in the Redken arena – we had a blast and it was great to see our Chicago friends once again.

Sam Villa, Kris Sorbie and Chris Baran hit the Redken stage all day alternating with Leah Freeman, George Garcia and Carmody Homan who represented the Redken Exchange Experience. The idea was to have something happening on the Redken stage at all times to attract the masses and it was extremely successful. To give it a bit more “flava” an iPod Touch was given away at the end of each day. Talk about excitement, Chris Baran’s comedic presentation got the crowd going and one lucky winner each day won the much coveted hi-tech gadget that will be downloaded with select education from Sam, Kris and Chris.

Mannequins were the models of choice this weekend. Mannequins provide great visuals for technique and they don’t talk back! The crowd witnessed Sam’s art of disconnection and Chris Baran’s stunning finish work while Kris Sorbie shared creative, sellable and profitable coloring techniques. Redken’s Yidah Pellerito led her team of facilitators to present a bit of what it is like to go to New York City and take a class at the Redken Exchange. Ten members from the audience participated on stage each day to learn quick color and cutting techniques and all walked away with new and creative ideas to take back to their salons.

The buzz at Sam’s booth was all about the hand’s-on demos on all of Sam’s tools. Attendees were excited to “try-before-you-buy” all of Sam’s ergonomic shears, combs, brushes and Textur and Sleekr irons. Our demo stations are key for these hand’s-on opportunities – no one else has this type of set up and we are proud to call it our own, for now anyway. :)

By far this was the best education a stylist could get at the show this year! We continue to raise the bar and look for new and unique ways of spreading the message of education. Many thanks to Redken and all who came out to support us and visit us – feel free to send us your feedback and we look forward to seeing you in 2011!
