Did You Know?

Football star Troy Polamalu can always be seen on the grid-iron with his thick, curly locks flowing out from underneath his helmet.
It make sense to make him a spokesperson for Head & Shoulders (which he has been for the last two years) and now, his massive mane has been insured.
Procter & Gamble, the makers of the shampoo, have announced that they’ve insured the athlete’s curls for $1 million with Lloyd’s of London. It seems like a great publicity stunt. Allegedly, Polamalu is insured for on-the-field hair loss only. The possibility of anything horrible happening on the field seems remote. If Larry Johnson’s tackle in 2006 couldn’t do it, nothing can. Take a look for yourself.
Lloyd’s is famous for pulling stunts like this in the past; the company has insured the legs of Tina Turner, Keith Richard’s fingers, Celine Dion’s vocal cords and the backside of Jennifer Lopez!
After eight years without so much as a trim, would Troy ever consider cutting his signature 35″ tresses? “With this big hair insurance—I don’t think so!” he says.
