Textur® Volume Technique

Create volume on fine hair with Textur®

Textur Volume Step 1

For this look on shorter hair, isolate the top and crown area above the parietal ridge.

Textur Volume Step 2

Work with vertical sections underneath the isolated area. Spray each section lightly with Redken Layer Lift 07 for medium control; spray a minimum of 6 inches away so as not to get them too wet

Textur Volume Step 3

Compress the hair at the base of each section with the Textur® Texturizing iron with the tip of the iron pointing upwards.

Textur Volume Step 4

The resulting textured hair strands away from the scalp, creating hidden support underneath. Continue working with vertical sections around the head. Stay away from front hairline for a natural effect.

Textur Volume Final Step

To finish this look, drop the top and crown area. Style and finish with Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray for lasting lift, maximum control and shape memory.

  1. I have fine haired clients that come into the salon and request this! It’s such a simple technique and the results are immediate. My clients come back and it gives me the edge over other stylists working with fine hair. Thanks for the Textur iron Sam!!!

  2. Great technique Sam. I learned this on your Artificial Texture DVD and it definitely works. Volume where I need it, when I need it!

  3. Interesting technique Thnx Sam
