Three-time winner of Stylist Choice Awards’ Platform Artist and Educator of the year.
Mary Rector Gable made the announcement at the Stylist Choice Awards party at the Chicago America’s Beauty Show. Mary alluded to the lonely life of a Platform Artist — describing the sacrifice it takes to choose a global lifestyle of planes and hotels, miles and many time zones away from family and loved ones to bring education and trends to stylists all over the world. To be a three time winner of this prestigious award is a testament to Sam Villa’s enduring popularity and recognition of him as an individual who embodies the best of our industry and someone who truly cares about improving the lives and livelihood of stylists behind the chair.
Accepting the award, Sam thanked the audience and the behindthechair.com community for their support. He also acknowledged his mentors and Redken for giving him the opportunity to do what he loves most. Sam promised to continue to be a messenger of advanced education and inspiration for stylists everywhere.

Congratulations on all of your success! I was just watching some of your tips online, love your website. I go there often for inspiration and ideas. You have mastered what it is to be a teacher, and are the best educator I have ever been exposed to and I am so glad that you have been recognized for what you do. We are very excited to see you again in our salon in April. I can’t wait!
