Cutting Fine Hair

In this video Sam Villa, Redken’s Platform Artist of the Year, shows you what not to cut when cutting fine hair. The end result: fine hair that retains its thickness.

Here’s a hot tip when you’re cutting fine hair. I don’t know about you but when I would go in and cut fine hair, I would tend to make it look thinner and finer. So here’s the hot tip. Simply zig zag around the hair line. Take the zig zag underneath, place that in a pony tail. Cut everything else above the zig zag like you normally would, let go of the pony tail and guess what? You’ve left the thickness underneath so it’s no longer finer. Here’s what’s so cool about it. Your client is paying you for the knowledge of knowing what not to cut. And there’s your hot tip for fine hair.
