Twist Cutting Technique: Front
More Twist Cutting techniques from Sam Villa. In this video you will learn how to create angled hairstyles using Sam’s fringe cutting tips.
Now here’s a great way to achieve a balanced angle in the front, from short to long. Have you ever cut one side with an angle, and then tried to cut the same angle on the opposite side? This is a great way to do it. It falls into the category of twist cutting. Simply separate front to back on both sides, front to back on both sides. Comb the hair forward towards you. Bing your comb underneath, and I am working with our large cutting comb, working with the wide teeth. Once you have that hair combed forward, remember twist cutting, lets start with our cutting hand first. I’m simply going to establish my hand where I want the length, come through, point down. Left hand comes directly over that. Continue to twist to the left, comb through and cut a horizontal line working with the dry cutting shear. Once you release, you’ll find you will have the angle working from short to long on both sides and you had been able to create that on one cut. Once again, working with the dry cutting shear and twist cutting. Remember, if you’re left-handed, your left hand starts, point down, right hand comes over and continue to turn to the right. Great technique to achieve an angled look on both sides.
