If you love the look of a hair bun but prefer texture over polish, then the Rough Bun is for you! If you have lived-in hair that needs to be worn up, try this fun and easy technique that will give you a messy yet perfect bun.
Start by spraying a moderate amount of Redken quick tease 15 throughout your hair for some added grit and texture.
Gather all your hair together into a high ponytail and secure with a clear elastic.
Split your ponytail into 3 or 4 sections depending on the density of your hair.
Use the fine teeth of your Sam Villa Short Styling Comb to backcomb each section of your ponytail.
Make sure to place each section in the direction you want it to go to form a circle.
Working from the center and outer layer of each section, use your comb to gently smooth the top, making sure not to pull the backcombing out.
Roll your first section under and forward to create a barrel curl and secure with a bobby pin.
Continue this around your head, rolling each section to its designated spot creating a circle.
Spread each section evenly to cover any unwanted spaces.
Once you have everything in place, finish off with Redken fashion work 12 hairspray.
YEAH!
This is an incredibly fast and easy way to create an on-purpose messy bun thats still chic! This look is awesome for girls with layered hair who cant quite get their hair to wrap together smooth! Give it a try, you'll love it!
