Sam had the opportunity to sit down with Sean LaRusso, owner of three successful salons in the Phoenix area, Madison Avenue Salon and Day Spa to discuss how important it is to create business development programs and offer education to the stylists in the salon.
Sean brings many useful points to the table for his salon’s successes and shares them with us:
- Provide on-going in-house technical education - Valuable for new hires as well as established stylists
- Business development programs – assisting stylists how to build and maintain clientele and how to market themselves – setting them up for success
- External education – In-house director of education works closely with Redken distributor to utilize ‘product spending points’ to bring in outside educators
