The Costume Institute Gala, known as the Met Ball or Met Gala, is a ball that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.
The red carpet evening is hosted by Vogue magazine and its a treat to see the gowns, and of course, the hair. The frocks are the main event, so hair tends to be simple.
This year, many opted for a chic low side part - either slicked back, adorned with accessories or braided to the side.
To create a deep side part, use a comb when blow drying instead of a brush. Hair is being redirected from its natural growth pattern and a comb can grab hair closer to the scalp to redirect hair better.
